Stumbled across this on TV last night and it was fantastic. But it was episode 5 already, and that NYT article says the premiere was just last Sunday. Are they running new episodes of this every night? ???

Oh, :censor:.  I hope not.  >:(  I expected it to run once a week!

According to wikipedia, looks like that's what they're doing. Episode 6 is next Sunday, then the rest are daily until it's over.

So, guess if I want to watch the whole thing I'll have to pay for episodes 1-4 on iTunes, then make sure to PVR the rest. And as good as it was, not really sure I'm that keen on committing to 18 hours of it.  :-\

Yea, I've been catching it early in the AM on PBS this week. It's a good job...seems to tell both sides equally.

My mild disappointment is they didn't interview on film some key people for the series..like McCain, Kissinger, etc

The Defenders

Marvel on Netflix does some great work.

BTW The Punisher looks AMAZING. Dark and brutal, like the comics.

Watched Unabomber on Netflix.  Thought it was a great 8 episode series.  I wasn't aware of the background him, so thought it was interesting and scary at the same time.

Mike Judges Tales from the Tour Bus is fantastic! What a great series, period. Even more so if you're a music lover.

Looks 1000 times better than Inhumans (not that commercials/trailers paint a picture of a show being crap I suppose)...which I sat through the 2 hr premier hoping it would get better...now I'm wondering why I didn't just go out side and let the skunk spray me with its perfume...and Seahard said Dancing with the Stars was scheite.   ::) ;D  I need to maybe get Netflix.  So long as that's available to us and not just a US only offering.

Four episodes into The Deuce, and this episode is the best so far.  Maggie Gyllenhaal gave a fantastic performance - she conveys the tired trapped look of a real person in her character's position.  The detachment she conveys is startling and real.

The casting is terrific.  The women don't all look like super-models.  James Franco once again transforms himself, and the results are good.

The depiction of police and other corruption feels realistic and believable given what we know happened in the 1970s.

^ I watched the first episode of The Deuce and liked it a lot. Need to get caught up but in the meantime we've been binging Curb Your Enthusiasm. My wife has only seen some episodes from the later seasons and I think there were a few episodes in the early seasons I had never seen.

Also finished season three of Narcos yesterday. It's a really good show, and they do a good job of mostly keeping it in line with what really happened. I read an interesting interview with the real Jorge Salcedo last night: http://ew.com/tv/2017/09/03/narcos-jorge-salcedo-interview/

That said, there was one minor thing on the show that really bugged me: In Spanish they said "three meters" and the subtitles said "six feet". First of all, why use feet instead of meters? Second, if you are going to change the unit, why not do the proper conversion? That drove me slightly batty.

Binge watched the final few episodes of the current revival of Twin Peaks yesterday. The ending was weirdly satisfying and the whole series was most definitely satisfyingly weird.

Not a series but a movie on Netflix - Middle Man - watched this last night and I thought pretty good. It's also for car buffs as it stars a 1953 Oldsmobile.

Anyone seen the show "Last Chance Garage?"  It's filmed in northern Labrador and the guys have me in stitches constantly.

I see this often enough.

In guessing because it's going to be shown in the US market. And unless the number is integral to the story, what's a few feet among friends?

John Oliver's piece from his season finale was fantastic.
