imagine dealing with those people daily... multiple versions of them... and them also treating you like it's your fault if the vehicle they want doesn't fall into their affordability range, or if the bank won't approve them, or their trade isn't worth what they owe...
just finished with a guy who just happened to pull into the lot... so not looking at something specific, and hasn't done enough homework. offered me his scrap vehicle as trade and 5k off an 18k car. polite no thanks since we had already discussed that my prices are quite firm... rather than continue the conversation inside or going for a drive like i suggest, he just says, "fine, talk to your manager and call me when you are about to send it to auction" and he storms off.
a) i don't have his number, b) i told him that the car actually has a deal written on it, but the financing is proving, "difficult" and c) we are receiving 3 leads a day from across the province on this particular car as it's the cheapest one around.
i'm trying to help... don't treat me as the enemy and we'll come to some kind of agreement... or at least not a total waste of your time. i think that's what i don't get... the people willing to just waste their own time coming to zero conclusions or even taking away any new information from their stop by.
as for weinstein... just horrible that a person in that type of position abuses their power. don't care if it's him, a priest, a teacher, a boss... whatever. it does tend to be the "old boys" types who tend to be the culprit nearly every time though.
sorry you (and any other people) have had to deal with it. some people are sh!ts.
