So, what's up with Smart Electric? I see he's changed his name to bye and hasn't been around in over a month.

I don't really hang around the Electric Vehicles forums much. Did I miss something?

I haven't seen Weels around lately either, any of the Guelph crowd know what he's up to?

Maybe he went to a Tesla forum where more people might appreciate his kool-aid

Yeah. That was him. Was that the same guy that would always insert proper foreign language into his posts? Lol

Haha, I remember that guy, kinda miss him for entertainment sake. Smart Electric, less so.

Oh yeah, I remember him whining about virtually everything.  I did love seeing all the euro pics he posted though.  As for SE, good F'ing riddance.

Yup. Still think of him all the time in everyday affairs. Usually picturing him being hard on me - haha

There's a part of him that "we" still have, apart from his posts. Those of you guys who know are welcome to the keys sometime, provided it's not raining, because you know, he'll haunt you otherwise...  ;D

I still remember getting the call about Snowman as I was coming the next day to visit. Still gut wrenching. Couldn't sleep one night last week so cleaned up a bunch of emails and came across some of his. Made me shed a tear or two. Such a great guy.

I never had the honor/pleasure of meeting him, I always enjoyed his posts & his attitude on life. I remember he stopped posting & someone said he wasn't doing well & then remember being in Caledon at my folks place over Christmas & reading the post that he passed & my jaw dropped. Wish I could've got to know him better.

Although we had many plans of meeting up as he was in northern NB often, unfortunately I never got to meet Rob in person either.  We exchanged messages, phone calls, and texts often, we just simply clicked with each other.  It's really hard to explain, but we had a really cool bond both on and outside of the forum.  I remember after Rob passed away and I made plans to fly to Ontario to meet up with others (a lot of folks here) to celebrate his life, my wife originally thought it was odd to do that for someone that I never met physically.  It didn't take her long to really understand why.

Seventeen months to go on my 2018 BMW 340i MPerformance Edition. No idea what happens then............I will be 78 then, and not as involved in autos as I was formerly.

78...jeez...and you've been here for 19 yrs too.  WTF's an old man like you doing driving a 340i MPerformance for!  You should be in an Edge or some Buick by now!

I hope I'm still driving something fun when I'm old...er...wait...I'm not driving anything fun now...wtf indeed... :-\

Sniff...Sir O...his buddy Searhardburger hasn't been back since either.  That's Nov 2019...
Cord came back and disappeared just as fast...
Dexer (?)...the harmonica guy - pretty sure he had cancer too, so if he's gone, not like any of us would get a text.
Dr. Oz who's son died unexpectedly at 14 IIRC...
Julie's not been here in years...remember Julie?  (me neither but I do - she had a Miata right? There had always been Brig and Julie...now we're stuck with just Brig  ;D)

^I believe it was Dr. Spock that lost his son. Terrible.

It would be great to see Sir O, searhard, and Northernridge back. Not likely but would be nice. All three are Manitobans now I Believe?
