It was put out front for me to pick it up on Tuesday morning, and next to it were a few interesting options from their press fleet...

Your A3 almost looks like a Q5 beside all those other cars.

Everytime I show a picture of the back of the car, people think it's a Q5! Must be the NA-std roof rails that "butch" it up.

Late congrats!  One of the other kids' dad at my son's school has one of these too.  I didn't realize it was the e-tron until it drove off whisper quiet  :o

Easiest way to tell it's an e-tron is the fact that it's a hatch. :) It's the only way to get the hatchback here unfortunately.

Indeed, the e-tron is super-silent at parking lot speeds, a lot more so than other BEVs.

To be honest, I might have picked an e-tron sedan if that would have been available. The trunk is larger than the hatch's (never trust the SAE measurements - they go up to the window, "forgetting" the cargo cover). The 5-door does offer more room in the back seat, and distinctive looks.

Thanks! Now at 2400km, original fill-up is one third down.

I was almost run down in front of the liquor store by a woman piloting an RX400h. I never even heard it coming. I never figured there'd be much substance to some of the stories of this happening, but here we are.

Huh. I guess my TDI is a safety feature then.

Even in the Highlander I'm bumping NWA when I'm in parking lots as a safety feature.

Perhaps may not want to do that if you're pulled over though.  :P

Now at 2500km, half the tank gone. Last evening I had to run a few local errands, and Audi advises against recharging when the battery is at 80% or more. So I had, you know, to spend some electrons.

It will squeal tires in EV mode, case closed  :skid: No shifting, of course  ;D

Finally took the e-tron out of the city and off to the Eastern Townships for a lovely weekend with Mrs Bp. The Audi settled at 5.1 l/100km indicated on gas after nearly 2 hours on the road, so the 1.4t is pretty frugal on the highway. Managed to burn the dealer gas from last spring down to the low-fuel warning to come on, and being out in the boonies I stopped at a fuel station with 90km left in range.

Apart from the top-up I did for the review, a bit over 2 litres IIRC, this was the first full fill-up. At 2,832 km on the odo.

Left this morning with a full battery, but range dropped fast as I turned on heat, seat heaters and rear defogger due to the 7 degree weather. Did not make it to work on e-power alone, but got closer than I expected, running on electric for about 23 km. Of course range will soon be going downhill as the cold comes in, but this will still be much cheaper to run than the TDI.

Congrats for 1.6L / 100 km avg but after a full calendar year (including winter) last August, Volt #2 blended average was 1.9L (1.8765) / 100km on 28,000 km.  8)

For your own security, don't you need to add some high visibility reflective marking?

Just like the Ody, the e-tron spent half a day at the "car spa" for a full cleanup and wax job.

Looks great.  Especially against the grey Camry in the background.

Thanks!

Neighbor's FIL's Camry is actually moss green, only one I've seen in that color (Camrys at large aren't exactly common in QC, except as cabs).
