Great pic, Patrick!  And those crotch stitch seats look amazing!!!!!  Are they as comfortable as they look?

yes they are... I sat in them at the show and I found them better than my A4

Good to know, they look really sweet.  And f'ing autocorrect in my last post.  Yeah......crotch stitch seats.   ::)    I hate posting from my phone most of the times.  lol

 ;D ^^^ I didn't even catch that.  My brain auto-corrected it.

 :rofl2:

Terminology aside, yes, in my opinion they're every bit as comfortable as they look. My favourite little trick is that the bolsters tighten up automatically by 20% against the baseline setting whenever you flip the car into Sport mode (option can be disabled, of course). Adds a little bit of theatre to the proceedings.

To answer alljay's question about the rear seats, they're more or less identical to the 3-series size-wise. Which is to say they're snug for adults. Headroom isn't bad, the seat pitch is actually quite good, but ultimately it's not as spacious as what you'd get in a mid-size. The trunk is also a bit on the small side, but that's counter-balanced by the 60/40 folding seats.

Shane, crotch stitched seats isn't as bad as when autocorrect had me write about a "guy rub" instead of "hot tub".

I think there was another where it came out as "penile" instead of something else.

That still sounds workable for my daughter.  Besides, we could take my wife's cx5 when we go out with our daughter in tow...or she could just take the bus. Hehe

K, but Quad, by definition of his name, is a BEASTOR!

;D

It's a sport compact - the rear seats are for occasional use.  If you transport folk more often than that, none of the G70 or its competitors are 'ideal' for such a scenario.  There's the G80 or G90 if rear seat comfort is your priority :P

Yeah, the Lexus IS had (don't know if still does) seats that went right down to the floor - i.e. you couldn't put your feet under the driver's.  That robbed rear passenger foot space a ton.  I didn't sit in the rear of the G70 - too many :censor: kids everywhere - but if that's the case, then a small omission that Patrick will recommend for change in the next model year :P

That is one of the reasons the Lexus IS was taken off of my shopping list.  I found the IS and the ATS had parcel shelves that were called back seats.  I'm 6'2" and when I put the driver's seat of either car in a position that suited me, I wasn't able to get into the back seat.

That said, I have never ridden in the back seat of my own car and my wife now has a nice CX5 that the kid loves, so the rear seat is less of a concern to me. hehe

Genesis sedans were set up at Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket. It looks great, but my hair was brushing against the headliner with the driver seat at its lowest setting. The G80 Sport and G90 had just enough headroom for my long torso.
G90s back seat was the place to be, although I found the footroom in the back of the G90 to be lacking.
Perhaps the front passenger seat was at its lowest setting. Even then, there should be some footroom with the front seats at their lowest position.

What wheels are those? I was getting turned off from the pics I'd seen so far of the dark colour wheels in both 18" and 19" versions of the two 3.3 turbo trims. Made the car look cheap to me. But this one has a 3.3 badge on the trunk and silver colour wheels that look great!

I didn't see the size. They were brushed silver colour. I don't mind the dark wheels, but silver with red works well.

6'2" with a tallish torso. It was the same with a C300. I'd have to shave my head if I had to live with it.

saw this at auto show today.

i was impressed.  i was half expecting Patrick to jump out from behind the booth.

size was good , rear haunches were impressive, interior was great looking, very good quality.  only thing with this was the front looks a little weak.  no.  i shouldn't say weak..  it's good, but somewhat resembles a mix of audi and chrysler.

Thanks, about the same as me
I usually find Germany and NA have the most room for taller drivers
