Can't stay away from these old Chevys, this one followed me home Tuesday. I've seen exactly one of these special Tahoes. It's the factory Z71 package and not many were ordered. Stranger still is this one is a 2000, the year this boxy Tahoe was replaced by the completely redesigned model. Only the Z71 and Limited models (a lowered 2WD) stayed with the old look.

They had a few different features over a plain Tahoe. Most notable was the two tone leather seats, front bumper (body color with fog lamps) Alcoa wheels, badging, fender flares, and of course the off road suspension.

Oh man! I love that! Great find.

Oddly, there's two square body Z71 Tahoe's in my neighborhood, and they've both been in this area since I was a kid. Both pewter, both showing their age (getting rusty) and one of them has a bunch of performance stickers all over the rear bumper.

That's neat.

Since I've never shopped for one of these, what are they worth?

Now? Less than 5k. In 20 years they might be worth something. I can't believe what old K5 Blazers are worth now.

I'm into this wayyy less than 5K! Gotta love dealer/wholesale gigs and when everyone thought it needed a new transfer case (was a original front u-joint that got ornery)

These make great winter tanks. Just leave plenty of room on your petro card.

Had this vintage Chevy pickup....a 1999, hard to find in a simple regular cab 4x4. Had it all of two days before a good offer came along. Was a "Grandpa" truck in amazing condition.

Exactly the form factor I like. Even the topper.

/Get off my lawn.  ;D

That's pretty much my truck, except mine is a 2002.

I just pulled the driver's doorhandle off it  :'(

I love the proportions of those regular cab, regular box trucks.  They look exactly as they should:  a truck.

I may have a 2005 GMC Yukon Denali coming my way this spring. Similar to this one. It needs some TLC but it may be the "retro" ride for awhile. The 6.0L makes a sweet rumble. Outside of the mid/late nineties two door Yukons this design may be my favourite.

So you're putting a hold on the LR4 you've been looking at?

Still my favorite Yukon (bsides the new one maybe) They rode nice, looked good, and had some of the comfiest seats around. Only the cheapo dash really ruined the interior. These things are also absolute tanks, see so many in our area with 500,000+ kms.

I'm shocked Fob hasn't been here yet...maybe he shorted his keyboard when he saw that red one.

Oops....I scrolled by too fast...in that case I'm surprised he didn't say anything.
