Saw a Doug Demuro review of the Chevy SS and now I kinda want one... RWD, 400+HP V8, 6 speed manual... So basically a 4 door Camaro? Too bad it wasn't sold in Canada, looked on autotrader and SS wasn't even an option in the model drop down menu.

Buy an older Caddy CTS-V.  Same thing.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Pontiac G8 GXP? Or import a 15 year old Commodore SS?

Fair enough, but as per our convo via text yesterday we have quite different wants and priorities though.   ;)

They had some insane deals on the SS in the U.S. Like 20% off of MSRP.

Agreed. If sold in Canada there very well would have been one in my garage right now.

Almost makes you want to buy one, rebadge it a Malibu, and try to license and register it in Canada.

F you, man! [emoji2]

If I had $100k kicking around, I'd go 911TT or GT-R.

I'm perfectly sane!

Just saw a 1986 911 Turbo fetch $100,000 on B/J.  FML.  Unless the market falls out completely for these car, those 930s are now way out of reach for regular people.

as can be expected - true analogue sports car experiences are getting rare these days

Myself, been obsessing about the Ferrari 550 Maranello. V12, 6sp gated shifter, glorious machine. Only Ferrari I have ever driven.

Really?  We talking when they were new, or will they still do this for a used one?

A 1973 911 Targa dropped the hammer at B/J for $185K.  I thought $100K for the 86 turbo was high, holy crap.  Until recently it was only very special air cooled cars that were selling for ridiculous prices, now it seems that all of them are.

550 with a 6 speed is the only Ferrari you've driven?  Geez, talk about ruining yourself for future Ferraris, eh?   :D

I count myself lucky that I got to drive a Ferrari at all. If others are as good as the 550 or better, wow they must be something...

But that's just it, I expect the computerized later versions of Ferraris will seem lacking in personality compared to that 550 -- which could certainly be considered a high-water mark for the company in many respects.  I'm very envious.
