Pretty infuriating here.

Sunday 90.8
Monday 98.0
Tuesday 108.8

What other product fluctuates 20% in two days?  20% geez

That's remarkable. Because for me, prices have been steady for weeks.

0,80$ for diesel
0,88$ for E10
1,00$ for 93 AKI

You should've filled up on Sunday when it was only .89 or whatever it was.  Wonder why the huge drop and then the huge increase...oh right. Spring break.  People will be wanting to go places.   ::)

I've paid 113 a litre on average the past 12 months. Haven't paid less than 107.9 in Kelowna, lowest anywhere was 85.4 in Edmonton, and highest was 119.9. Better than the 134.9 we faced a couple of years ago.

Most stations jumped from $.89/L here to $1.029 or $1.069, but Costco has stayed at $0.869.  Be interesting to see what happens,  That's a huge gap.

apparently the refineries are switching from winter blend to summer now.  So they have to shut them down for a few days.  While they do that, stock dwindles so they raise the prices.

It's all total BS but that's their excuse.

Isnt winter gas just regular gas with 10% alcohol ao it doesn't freeze?

Most regular gas already contais 10% alcohol all year round anyway....  What a bs

Nope.  Winter gas is diluted with butane.  Butane is a massive rip off.  First, it contains less BTU than gas, so we get less energy.  Butane is plentiful and waaaay cheaper than gas, so the oil companies save a lot of money.  The kicker is that butane boils at -1C.  Filling your car at 3C?  The butane is boiling off and being released in a gaseous state to the atmosphere.  You're not even getting the crap you paid for!

Cars with fuel injection don't need butane for starting in the winter.  Winter gas is a giant rip-off.
