There’s something familiar about the Nissan Frontier. Maybe it’s because the Frontier has been on the market for over 20 years, and it still cuts somewhat the same profile. Kind of tall, square, compact and high shouldered, the Frontier has the look of a competent truck. We found the Frontier a pleasure to drive; its size is just right for a range of hobbyist applications, and would also work for various light trades. The modular tie-downs in the box were the best among all of its competition, and it had a great audio system, too. Off road, the Frontier was sure-footed but it could use a little more ground clearance. With 261 hp and 281 lb-ft of torque from its V6 engine, this is a gutsy little truck.
