For 2013, Subaru adds standard Bluetooth tech to the Forester and new 17-inch wheels on the Touring model.
Power comes from a selection of two engines and two transmissions:
– 2.5L DOHC 4-cylinder SUBARU BOXER engine developing 170 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque mated to either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic
– 2.5L DOHC turbocharged 4-cylinder SUBARU BOXER engine developing 224 hp and 226 lb-ft of torque mated to a 4-speed automatic.
Trims include 2.5X, 2.5X Convenience Package, 2.5X Convenience Package with PZEV Option, 2.5X Touring Package, 2.5X Limited Package, and 2.5XT Limited Package.
In 2.5X trim, features include 2.5L 4-cylinder SUBARU BOXER engine, 5-speed manual transmission, standard open-type rear differential, Vehicle Dynamics Control, traction control, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, airbags (front, front seat, side curtain), driver and front passenger seat 6-way manually adjustable seats, engine immobilizer system, anti-theft security system, 16-inch steel wheels, power and heated mirrors, rear privacy glass, roof rails, 4-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3/WMA audio with auxiliary input,
Bluetooth mobile phone connectivity with voice activation and steering wheel-mounted controls, MediaHub iPod/USB audio integration with Bluetooth streaming audio, air conditioning, tilt/telescopic steering, steering wheel mounted audio and cruise controls, heated front seats, 60/40-split flat-folding rear seats, soft-grip controls, cloth seating, and splash guards.
2.5X Convenience adds 4-speed automatic transmission, 16-inch aluminum alloy wheels, and 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat including lumbar support.
2.5X Convenience with PZEV Option adds PZEV emissions equipment, PZEV rear badge, and PZEV embroidered floor mats.
2.5X Touring adds (to 2.5X Convenience) 17-inch aluminum alloy gunmetal finish wheels, power-sliding large glass sunroof, fog lights, chrome door handles, stainless steel exhaust tips, wiper de-icer, reclining rear seats and rear-seat cushion table (retractable) with integrated illuminated cup holders, cargo area tray, leather-wrapped gear selector and steering wheel, 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat including lumbar support, SIRIUS satellite radio installed (3-month trial subscription included), power windows (driver’s auto up/down), door mirrors with LED integrated turn signals, roofline spoiler, and silver finish roof rails. Touring also brings back the manual transmission option.
2.5X Limited adds 4-speed automatic transmission, 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, HID headlights, stainless steel rear step pad, automatic climate control, Pioneer AVIC X9310BT in-dash touchscreen navigation, smartphone integration with detachable face security, AM/FM/CD/MP3/WMA/DVD/DivX, and Pioneer front and rear speakers.
2.5XT Limited adds 2.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder SUBARU BOXER engine, larger brakes, raised-profile roof rails, and roofline spoiler.
