Fully loaded once again, is my tester for the week, but with a twist. The 2011 Scion tC only comes fully loaded, the only option being an automatic transmission which, sadly, my tester is equipped with. But it is a six-speed which at least should help it achieve great fuel economy and smooth, quiet highway travel.

Coming soon to a Scion / Toyota dealer near you, previously only available at dealers in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, Scion is expanding country-wide, and many new markets should see dealers popping up in the spring.

The tC offers quite a bit of value for its just over $20,000 price tag. Features included standard are power windows and doors, keyless entry, cruise control, air conditioning, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, a panoramic sunroof, Bluetooth connectivity, and 18-inch alloy wheels. On the exterior, the integrated turn signals in the side mirrors add a flare of luxury and make the tC stand out as more up-market than the price may suggest.

Powered by a very competitive 2.5-litre four cylinder engine that produces 180hp and 173lb-ft of torque, the tC still achieves an estimated 8.9/6.3L/100km rating (city/highway).

2011 Scion tC
MSRP as tested (excluding destination): $22,435
