An all-new model for 2011, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG coupe is joined by a roadster convertible for 2012. New standard sport suspension, blind spot assist and red brake calipers are now standard equipment.

The SLS uses a front mid-mounted 6.3-litre V8 with seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission mounted on the rear axle. The coupe features top-opening “gull-wing” doors, while the coupe adds a three-layer power-operated soft top in black, beige or red.

Standard features on the coupe include 19- and 20-inch AMG twin-spoke alloy wheels, automatic climate control, rearview camera, memory package with power steering column, hard disc drive navigation system, media interface, Sirius satellite radio, bi-xenon headlamps, Alcantara roofliner, Designo exclusive leather upholstery, and AMG aluminum trim.

Available options include an extended carbon fibre package, Bang & Olufsen performance surround sound system, and an AMG Competition Package of ten-spoke forged wheels, carbon ceramic brakes, performance steering wheel, and sport suspension.
