For 2012, the Jaguar XK lineup adds the new XKR-S, a 550-horsepower coupe capable of 300 km/h and zero-to-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds. It uses the XKR’s supercharged engine but with revised fuel mapping and active exhaust, and with revised suspension and active differential. The XKR-S’ suspension changes can be optioned to the XKR as part of the new Dynamic Pack, and its performance front seats can be added as an option to the XKR.

The XK and XKR receive styling changes, including slimmer headlamps with LED turn signals and running lights, larger grille, new bumper and revised deck lid. The XKR is now also further differentiated from the XK by black detailing on its mesh grilles. Interior changes include soft-feel paint on the switches, gloss black finish on the centre console, new heated multifunction steering wheel, and blue halo illumination and ambient lighting. The warranty, which was increased to 5-years/80,000 km for 2011, is back to 4-years/80,000 km.
