Day 1:
Up for Review this week is the new Fusion from Ford. I haven’t driven a Ford lately, actually I believe the last Ford I drove was in the summer of ’05 when I had a brief 1 hour drive in an ’05 Focus. I have heard some great things about the Fusion and there seems to be a buzz brewing about it online, I was looking forward to my week in this vehicle to find out what this fusion of design was all about and what my reaction would be.

As mentioned the Focus was the last Ford I have driven, I rated it fairly high in the 50 litre Challenge, I actually ranked the Focus 3rd, tied with the Honda Civic (see my review here).

As usual first impressions to get the week started, I will attempt to expand on these likes and dislikes as the week progresses.

Styling (yes very subjective, pictures do not do this vehicle justice in my opinion it is more striking in person)
Supportive and comfortable seats
Tilt and telescopic wheel allows unlimited seating positions.
Solid feel to door handles and doors
Body coloured mirrors and door handles
4 wheel discs / ABS / Electronic Brake Force Distribution standard for low base price.

Car feels large when maneuvering around parking lots and rear visibility is difficult
Seat material attracts hair and lint especially in the black colour of my tester.
Monotone interior treatment.
HVAC control placement
