After a successful introductory year, the Cadillac ATS gets some additional kit and minor changes for 2014. Automatic high-beam control has been added to certain packages, a 110-volt power outlet for back seat gamers on CUE and navigation models, along with a larger sport steering wheel for cars equipped with paddle shifters. So far, there is no performance V model, or even a two-door variant, but they are on their way. If you want horsepower, the most you can get is 321 hp in 3.6L equipped models.
The rear- and all-wheel-drive ATS four-door can be had with three engines: a 2.5L I4 with 202-hp; a 272-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter I4; and a 3.6L V6 with 321-hp. Except for the turbo-four – which is available with a six-speed manual gearbox – all ATS models come with a six-speed automatic transmission. With the focus on keeping the ATS’s weight down, the Cadillac offers dynamic handling, but not at the expense of a quiet ride.
