Introduced just last year, the two-door CTS Coupe is one of the most striking American designs since the 1960s. Based on CTS sedan mechanicals, the Coupe eschews the sedan’s base engine, and comes with the 3.6L V6 with 318-hp and either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. All-wheel-drive is also an option. A Summer Tire Performance Package, with 19-inch tires and wheels and a higher level of road-holding capability, is available. Multi-adjustable Recaro sport seats, previously exclusive to Cadillac’s V models, are offered on all CTS Coupe models as an option. Like the sedan, for 2013 the CTS two-door gets a new grille and remote start is now standard.
It’s hard to argue with 556 supercharged horsepower, and when it’s fitted into a fine-handling, rear-drive platform with an available slick shifting six-speed stick, you have the definition of ballistic luxury. Alcantara interior trim signals Caddy’s sporting mandate, yet the CTS-V still proves to be comfortable and accommodating, with all the expected luxo-toys.
CTS is also available as a sedan or Sport Wagon (covered in a separate entries). The CTS Coupe is available in rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, with a 3.6-litre V6 engine mated to a six-speed automatic. The CTS-V is equipped with a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 and six-speed manual or optional six-speed automatic transmission.
Features on the CTS Base Collection include 3.6L V6 engine, six-speed automatic transmission, airbags (front, front seat, side curtain), OnStar, LATCH, electronic immobilizer, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, limited-slip rear differential, dual exhaust, sport-tuned suspension, automatic light control with Twilight Sentinel, LED taillights, windshield wiper activated headlights, body-colour power heated folding mirrors, Ultrasonic rear parking assist, 18-inch wheels, automatic dual-zone climate control, driver information centre, TPMS, automatic power locks, E-Z Key passive entry system, push button start, auto-dimming rear view mirror, leather-wrapped steering wheel with cruise/audio/OnStar/Bluetooth controls, tilt/telescopic steering column, power windows with auto-up/down, 8-way power front seats, leatherette seating surfaces, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, 8-speaker Bose AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio system, and satellite radio.
