NEW FOR 2011:

– Standard rear-view camera
– Luxury and Performance packages add full keyless access
– Standard cargo fence for U-rail system
– Powertrain calibration enhancements on 3.0-litre models for improved acceleration feel
– Exterior colours: Black Ice Metallic and Mocha Steel Metallic

For 2011, the Cadillac SRX gains a standard rear-view camera with its image projected in the rear-view mirror, and a cargo fence for its U-rail rear cargo system. The powertrain has been calibrated for improved acceleration feel on the 3.0-litre models, and full keyless access is added to specific option packages.

Sharing its platform with the Chevrolet Equinox, the SRX uses a direct-injected 3.0-litre V6 engine on front- and all-wheel drive models, and a turbocharged 2.8-litre V6 that can be optioned on the AWD. Both engines use a six-speed automatic transmission. The all-wheel drive system uses an electronic limited-slip differential to transfer torque from front to rear, or from side to side, wherever traction is needed. It operates primarily in front-wheel drive but provides power to the rear wheels pre-emptively in wet or icy conditions.

The front- and all-wheel drive models are equipped similarly.

Standard features include 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, automatic headlamps, proximity key with keyless start, OnStar with Turn-by-Turn Navigation, trailer sway control, theft-deterrent alarm, privacy glass, power-folding heated mirror with driver’s auto-dimming, black side roof rails, variable intermittent wipers, intermittent rear washer/wiper, overhead console, garage door opener, rear-view camera, cruise control, driver information centre, tire pressure monitoring system, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, leather-wrapped tilt and telescopic steering wheel with audio controls, auto up/down front windows, auto-down rear windows, eight-way driver and six-way passenger heated leather seats, driver’s side memory, Bluetooth connectivity, CD/MP3 stereo, auxiliary and USB input, and XM satellite radio.
