NEW FOR 2012:
– All-new model
An all-new model for 2012, the BMW X1 xDrive28i is the smallest member of the company’s X lineup, slotting under the X3.
It uses an all-new 2.0-litre direct-injection four-cylinder engine with a single twin-scroll turbocharger, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The proactive xDrive all-wheel drive system is standard. It defaults to 40/60 front to rear but can vary torque to any degree, up to 100 per cent to either axle.
It comes in a single trim line with available options. Standard features include 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, automatic headlamps, adaptive brake lights, hill descent control, heated mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, heated windshield washer jets, tire pressure monitoring system, keyless entry, black roof rails, dynamic cruise control, locking illuminated glovebox, tilt and telescopic multifunction leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated “leatherette” seats, 40/20/40 split-folding rear seatbacks, CD/MP3 stereo, USB port, satellite radio prewiring, Bluetooth connectivity, and BMW Assist with one-year Safety and Security plan.
Available options and option packages add such items as 18-inch alloy wheels with performance tires, steering wheel-mounted shifter paddles, navigation system, panoramic sunroof, bi-xenon headlamps, sport seats and leather upholstery.
