– 3.2 FrontTrak sedan discontinued
– A6 “Progressiv” trim levels for final year of this generation
– S6 adds bumper-mounted LED daytime running lights and rear sunshades

The Audi A6 will enter its next generation for 2012, and so for 2011, changes are in trim. The 3.2 FrontTrak sedan, a front-wheel drive model with 3.2-litre V6, is no longer available. All remaining models but the S6 are offered solely in a “Progressiv” trim line, which builds on the previous Premium models. The A6 3.0 is the former Special Edition, plus navigation package and heated rear seats; the A6 4.2 adds S-line exterior, sport suspension and sunshades; and the A6 3.0 Avant (wagon) is the Special Edition plus navigation package, garage door opener and sunshades. The A6 adds LED daytime running lights and rear sunshades.

The A6 is available with a supercharged 3.0-litre V6 with six-speed automatic, in sedan or Avant configuration, and with a 4.2-litre V8 with six-speed automatic. The S6 uses a 5.2-litre V10 and with six-speed automatic. All use Quattro all-wheel drive.

Features on the A6 3.0 Progressiv sedan include 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, automatic bi-xenon headlamps with washers, LED taillights and daytime running lights, garage door opener, cruise control, Advanced Key with pushbutton start, Bluetooth connectivity, advanced parking system with rear-view camera, heated mirrors with tilt-in-reverse, aluminum door sills and window surround, power sunroof, puddle lamps, multifunction four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel with power tilt and telescopic column, 12-way power-adjustable heated leather seats, driver’s side memory, heated 60/40 split-folding rear seat, LED footwell lighting, illuminated vanity mirrors, CD/DVD/MP3 stereo with iPod interface and Sirius satellite radio, advanced Multi-Media Interface (MMI) system, and voice-activated navigation system.

The A6 4.2 Progressiv sedan builds on the 3.0 sedan and adds adaptive headlamps with cornering lights, Audi Side Assist, Bose surround sound system, sport suspension, power rear sunshade, and manual side sunshades.
