For 2009, the Bentley Azure receives new options, including the availability of carbon ceramic disc brakes borrowed from the Brooklands coupe, which can be added when twenty-inch wheels are specified.
The convertible version of the Arnage sedan, the Bentley Azure uses that model’s 6.8-litre V8, tuned to Arnage R specifications with 450 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque. It uses the Arnage’s six-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic manual mode.
The Azure’s roof is made of three layers of fabric, and retracts at the touch of a button to hide beneath a leather-trimmed tonneau. The operation takes about 30 seconds.
Standard features include 19-inch wheels, retractable "Flying B" mood mascot, auto-dimming power-fold mirrors, navigation system, park distance sensor, massaging heated seats, cigar lighter, six-CD stereo, Bluetooth hands-free telephone system and umbrellas that fit into holders in the doors. The premium leather interior is available in a choice of 21 shades.
Buyers are also encouraged to personalize their vehicles, choosing from 39 standard paint shades or custom colour matches, factory pinstriping, sill plates, carpet colours, and veneers with custom-matched upholstery.
