NEW FOR 2008:
– Standard carbon ceramic brakes
– 60th anniversary Sessanta model
For 2008, the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti remains unchanged, but for the addition of standard carbon ceramic brakes. There is also a limited-edition 612 Sessanta model, marking the company’s 60th anniversary; only 60 will be produced.
The 612 Scaglietti uses a V12 engine with all-aluminum space frame and chassis; transmission choices are a six-speed manual transmission or automatic six-speed F1 transmission. Although it’s a front-engine car, its 46/54 weight distribution means it handles similarly to the company’s mid-engine offerings.
Features include dual-zone climate control system, Bose CD player with six-channel digital unit, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and anti-theft alarm.
The limited-edition Sessanta uses the F1 transmission exclusively, and includes a panoramic roof panel, unique grille, custom leather interior, specially-styled cluster, limited-edition badging and choice of two colours, Grigio Scuro (dark grey) or Rubino Micalizzato (dark burgundy).
The 2+2 Scaglietti takes 4.3 seconds to go from zero to 100 km/h, on its way to a top speed of over 315 km/h.
