Toronto, Ontario – Nissan Canada has announced it will power its Canadian head office with 100 per cent locally-produced renewable energy from Bullfrog Power, Canada’s green electricity provider. The office is located in Toronto, Ontario.
“At Nissan Canada, we strive to provide our customers with innovative products that contribute to the development of a sustainable mobile society,” said Allen Childs, president of Nissan Canada. “Choosing renewable electricity for our head office is an important part of our plan to reduce our environmental impact across all facets of our operations.”
Through the agreement, Bullfrog Power’s generators inject renewable electricity onto the regional grid to match the amount of power Nissan’s head office uses. In Ontario, Bullfrog’s electricity comes exclusively from local wind and hydro facilities that have been certified as low impact by Environment Canada.
