Dallas, Texas – The Zotye, an all-new electric SUV produced in China, is expected to come to North America within the next twelve months under an agreement with the U.S.-based Green Automotive Company and EvCarco.
The four-seat hatchback uses a lithium-ion battery with on-board charging and fast charging ports. It is rated zero to 96 km/h in 9.5 seconds and has a range of up to 402 km.
Under the agreement, EvCarco will distribute the Zotye through its existing dealerships in California, Nevada, Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia and Florida. It plans to expand into most states by 2012.
Last month, the Green Automotive Company signed an exclusive agreement with GoSmart Technologies, which makes fast-charging plug-in vehicle stations that allow owners and businesses to charge their electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles at home or at work.
