Mississauga, Ontario – Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada (MMSCAN) has announced a new partnership with “green” electricity provider Bullfrog Power. Mitsubishi said it is now the first automobile company in Canada to power its head office with 100 per cent clean, renewable electricity.
Mitsubishi is also the first new customer to join Partners in Project Green’s Green Power Challenge. The initiative, led by the Great Toronto Airports Authority and Toronto and Region Conservation, is made up of a growing community of businesses to create an internationally-recognized “Eco-Business Zone” around Toronto Pearson International Airport.
“This joint partnership is a natural for Mitsubishi,” said Koji Soga, president and CEO of MMSCAN. “We have been working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions with governments and other organizations through our support of the i-MiEV electric vehicle, and now we’re looking to reduce our electricity-related emissions at our head office in Mississauga.”
