Tokyo, Japan – Honda has announced that it will begin sales of its CR-Z sporty hybrid model in February 2010 and the Fit Hybrid before the end of 2010 in Japan. The new models will add to the automaker’s hybrid lineup, which also includes the currently-available Insight and Civic Hybrid.

Honda is also currently developing a new hybrid system that is intended to be installed on mid- to large-size vehicles.

The CR-Z concept vehicle made its world debut at the 40th Tokyo Motor Show in 2007 and will feature advanced technologies for enjoyable driving while reducing the vehicle’s environmental footprint.
