Beijing, China – Ten of China’s top automakers have created a research and development working group for electric vehicle powertrains and components, according to a report by the Green Car Congress.

The first meeting of the group, known as T10 Electric Vehicles, was at the end of July in Beijing. The goals of the group include joint development and reduction of R&D costs.

The companies are SAIC Motor, FAW Group, Dongfeng Auto, Changan Auto, Guangzhou Auto, Beijing Auto, Brilliance Auto, Chery Auto, Sinotruk Group and Jianghaui Auto.
