Oshawa, Ontario – The all-new 2011 Chevrolet Cruze Eco has been related at 4.6 L/100 km on the highway, representing the best fuel economy in its segment, General Motors has announced. The rating is for the Eco with a manual transmission.
General Motors said the Eco’s highway fuel efficiency beats non-hybrid and diesel competitors, and matches the 2011 Honda Insight hybrid based on Natural Resources Canada results. It also provides better efficiency than the smaller 2011 Ford Fiesta and has 17 per cent greater highway fuel economy than the 2011 Honda Civic.
The Cruze uses a 1.4-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine and has numerous aerodynamic performance, mass optimization and powertrain enhancements for fuel efficiency.
The Cruise Eco starts at $19,495 and goes on sale today at Chevrolet dealers across Canada.
