Detroit, Michigan – Michelin has unveiled its new Energy Saver All-Season tire at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The company said it is delivering an environmentally-friendly performance package that is unprecedented in the industry.

The Energy Saver All-Season combines fuel savings with superior grip and safety, as well as long tread life and all-season performance. The new tire increases fuel efficiency by decreasing the levels of rolling resistance, which creates energy loss.

The new tire will launch with Michelin’s “Green X” symbol on the sidewall. It is targeted at consumers who drive less than 10,000 miles (16,100 km) per year and appreciate the tire’s environmental benefit.

The company will also launch the Michelin HydroEdge tire this year, a premier passenger tire with superior wet braking performance.
