Los Angeles, California – Volkswagen has presented the sporty Beetle R concept at the Los Angeles Auto Show, following its premiere at the Frankfurt Auto Show.
The Beetle R concept draws on the performance of the Golf R and Scirocco R, but is still a design study, the company said.
The concept “offers a glimpse of what a production version might look like,” with 20-inch alloy wheels, R-design blue brake calipers, and Serious Grey Metallic paint, along with wider bumpers, front air intakes and a flat-splitter front spoiler.
