With the new GTI set to arrive next week, VW rubs some sandtrap in Boston’s wounds

In what is one of the most clever campaigns I’ve seen from a manufacturer in Canada in recent memory, Volkswagen has jumped on the Stanley Cup fever bangwagon to congratulate the Montreal Canadiens.

Oh, and to remind the Boston Bruins of their impending Golf season.

Volkswagen Canada’s Twitter account jumped at the chance to capitalize on the Habs win over the Bruins on Wednesday with the crosscheck above.

Well played, VW. Well played.
