2011 Toyota Corolla
Toronto, Ontario – Toyota has presented the Canadian debut of the 2011 Toyota Corolla and Matrix, which include additional safety features, fresh styling and new option packages.
The Matrix includes three models, with a choice of front- or all-wheel drive, two engine sizes, manual or automatic transmissions, enhanced safety features and new convenience features and option packages.
“Every Canadian seeking a driving experience that slips seamlessly from daily commute to night in the city will find the style, comfort and performance they need and want in the Toyota Matrix,” said Warren Orton, director at Toyota Canada. “For 2011, Toyota enhances the extreme crossover with even more driving fun, remarkable efficiency and built-in-Canada quality, complete with the Toyota Star Safety System as standard and fresh options packages for even greater versatility.”
Standard on every model is the Toyota Star Safety System, which includes vehicle stability control, traction control, anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution and brake assist enhancements, and Toyota’s Smart Stop Technology.
The front-wheel drive Matrix uses a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine with 132 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque, while the Matrix XRS and all-wheel drive Matrix use a 2.4-litre four-cylinder that makes 158 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque.
