Toronto, Ontario – Toyota has announced that the all-new Venza crossover will have a starting price of $28,270. The company also introduced a general price adjustment on all Toyota and Lexus models, effective January 3, 2009, along with special incentives and promotions.

The Venza will be offered with a choice of four-cylinder engine, at $28,270 in front-wheel drive and $29,720 in all-wheel drive, and with a V6 engine, at $29,970 and $31,420 for front- or all-wheel drive.

The all-new Venza is built at Toyota’s assembly plant in Kentucky; it was designed for and is sold exclusively in North America.

Toyota also announced a new plan, Start Smart, to assist buyers. A general price adjustment, effective January 3, will be held to an average of one per cent across the Toyota and Lexus line-ups, which the company said is well below Canada’s inflation rate over the past year. The plan also includes no payments for 90 days on the purchase or finance of any Toyota or Lexus model, available $500 gasoline gift cards included with the purchase of any made-in-Canada 2009 Toyota Corolla, Matrix or RAV4, and up to $5,000 in gas cards or cash credit when purchasing other select 2008 or 2009 models.
