New York, New York – The ten finalists for the 2011 World Car Awards have been named. A jury of 66 international automotive journalists vote on the awards, with the winner to be announced at the New York International Auto Show in April.
The jury members represent Asia, Europe, North America, South America and other parts of the world, and all hold significant stature within their own regions and countries.
The finalists, in alphabetical order, are the Audi A1, Audi A8, BMW 5 Series, BMW X3, Jaguar XJ, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Mercedes-Benz SLS, Nissan Leaf, Porsche Cayenne and Volvo S60/V60.
The jurors will next re-evaluate the top ten in terms of overall merit, value, safety, environmental responsibility, emotional appeal and significance.
