Fuji Heavy Industries will introduce replacement model with three row seating at a later date

Confirmed by USA Today, the Subaru Tribeca will be no more after the 2014 model year.

While speaking with Subaru spokeswoman Jessica Tullman, the newspaper learned the Tribeca will cease production in January with final deliveries to dealers the following month.

This comes as no surprise as the once ugly and now unremarkable model continually occupies the bottom of the sales charts next to the already-cancelled FJ Cruiser and the Hyundai Veracruz, replaced by the Santa Fe XL.

Subaru doesn’t plan to leave the midsize SUV arena for good and will introduce a three-row midsizer at a later date.
