Toronto, Ontario – Toyota has announced pricing for the all-new 2012 Scion iQ, which will start at $16,760 when it goes on sale this November.

The company said that the iQ will be the world’s smallest four-passenger vehicle.

“The Scion family is getting bigger, with the addition of the world’s smallest four-person passenger car, the convention-busting iQ,” said Larry Hutchinson, director of Scion in Canada. “Stylish and surprisingly comfortable, the iQ offers an impressive list of standard features, including the world’s first rear window curtain airbag.”

The iQ uses a 1.3-litre four-cylinder engine and continuously variable transmission (CVT), delivering 94 horsepower and fuel economy of 5.1 L/100 km in city and highway driving combined.

Every iQ features an innovative compact air conditioning unit, electronic power steering, front acoustic glass to reduce wind noise, and a “3-plus-1” seating arrangement with extra-slim front seatbacks for added rear legroom and comfort.
