Due to past reliability, Consumer Reports has given Ram its first recommended rating. Silverado still in testing.
The boffins at Consumer Reports have bestowed the Auburn Hills automaker with its first recommended rating for pickups. Ram has topped the charts so far and the recommended rating comes after years of proven reliability.
Toyota Tundra and Ford F-150 took the next two spots, nine and 10 points respectively behind Ram. The new Chevrolet Silverado is currently in testing and results will be released later this summer.
Even though Ram has been ranked, officially, at the top, Chevrolet could be enjoying the top of the list if the Avalanche was still in production. The sport trunk did score higher than Ram, by two points, but was not recommended.
