2011 Porsche Cayenne Hybrid
New York, New York – Porsche has introduced its next-generation Cayenne at the New York International Auto Show, including a gasoline electric hybrid version, to the North American market.
Led by the all-new Cayenne S Hybrid, the company’s first production hybrid vehicle, the next-generation Cayenne sets the standard in its class in efficiency and performance. Compared to the previous Cayenne, fuel consumption is down by as much as 23 per cent in European test cycles.
In North America, the Cayenne model range will include the 2011 Cayenne, Cayenne S, Cayenne Turbo and Cayenne S Hybrid. The S and Turbo models go on sale in July, while the Cayenne and Cayenne S Hybrid arrive in the fall. In the U.S., prices will start at US$46,700 and go to $104,800; the hybrid model will retail starting at $67,700.
Porsche also announced that all of its models will now include a longer list of standard equipment, as well as a new options strategy that includes comprehensive equipment packages that still allow for detailed customization at a significant cost savings.
