2011 Porsche Boxster Spyder
Stuttgart, Germany – Porsche will introduce a lightweight version of the Boxster, the new Boxster Spyder, at the Los Angeles Motor Show in December.
Weighing just 1,275 kg, the Boxster Spyder will be the lightest model of any Porsche, and will be available in February 2010 as the third version of the Boxster range, joining the Boxster and Boxster S.
The new model features a 3.4-litre six-cylinder making 320 horsepower, 10 more than the Boxster S. Equipped with the PDK transmission and Sports Chrono Package, the new Spyder can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds using launch control. Top speed is 267 km/h with the roof open.
