2010 Porsche 911 Turbo
Mississauga, Ontario – Porsche has shown its new top-of-the-line 911 Turbo for the first time in Canada at the Montreal International Auto Show. The model goes on sale in Canada on January 16.
The seventh-generation 911 Turbo uses a new twin-turbo 3.8-litre six-cylinder engine, delivering a maximum output of 500 horsepower. It uses direct fuel injection and Porsche’s exclusive turbochargers with variable turbine geometry.
For the first time, the new engine may be combined with Porsche’s seven-speed PDK double-clutch gearbox. The 911 Turbo accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 312 km/h.
Pricing for the Turbo Coupe starts at $165,300, while the Turbo Cabriolet starts at $178,400.
