After a 25 year hiatus, Peugeot looks to take on the Dakar Rally once again

Next January, as teams set off across South America in the newest iteration of the Dakar Rally, legends Carlos Sainz and Cyril Despres will be joined by the historic return of Peugeot and its 2008 DKR racer.

The desert storming DKR is a two-wheel drive affair, allowing the vehicle more suspension travel and larger tires. It also brought together Peugeot’s Style Centre and Peugeot Sport’s Design Department to create what is the most aggressive 2008 to ever exist.
