Nissan PR boss Dan Bedore says “What’s under the hood is intriguing…”

Both AutoGuide and Jalopnik are reporting there is a Cummins-powered Nissan Frontier on the Nissan show stand in Chicago, currently under wraps.

Dan Bedore of Nissan said the model is a “technical study” and “What’s under the hood in intriguing…” on Facebook earlier today.

Nissan will be putting a 5.0-litre Cummins V8 diesel in their next Titan pickup. The Frontier would likely receive a 2.8-litre four-cylinder unit with around 200 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque to take on the new Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon.
