Mercedes-Benz looking to take M Sport, Vsport approach
The number of available models at Mercedes-Benz may go up in the near future as the German automaker looks to “bridge the gap” between their high-end non-performance models and AMG lineup.
According to Automotive News, one of those models will be released in January at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
The Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG will sit between the C400 and C63 AMG models, powered by a twin-turbo V6 engine, much like the Cadillac CTS Vsport. The new model will send power to the wheels through a traditional automatic transmission.
The folks at CarScoops were able to obtain photos of the new C450 AMG, the start of many other “stepping stone” models from Mercedes-Benz.
