Six door “minivan” also hints at forthcoming five-door MINI hatchback

MINI has dropped official details on its not-so-concept Clubman Concept before its official debut at the Geneva International Auto Show next month.

The longer, wider Clubman gets updated styling much like its little brother Cooper but receives a two-door vertical split hatch (two doors) versus the traditional swing-up hatch.

While no powertrains have been announced, expect the Clubman to receive the same updated 1.5-litre three-cylinder and 2.0-litre four-cylinder modular BMW engines as the smaller hatchback and new front-drive BMW 1-series.

The Clubman will probably see Canadian shores in 2015, after the 2014 launch of the redesigned MINI hatch.
