Winnipeg, Manitoba – The Manitoba RV Show and Sale runs now until Sunday, March 14 at the Winnipeg Convention Centre, featuring three floors of trailers, fifth wheels and motor homes.
Go RVing Canada said that consumers should not delay purchasing recreational vehicles as the economy recovers and prices start gaining momentum.
“Prior to the global economic downturn, RVs were selling in record numbers throughout the country because Canadians of all ages and lifestyles were realizing the benefits associated with this lifestyle, such as flexibility and vacation cost savings,” said spokesperson Catherine Fortin LeFaivre.
LeFaivre said that although RV buyers saw low prices in 2009, prices will slowly gain momentum in 2010. Consumer price data from Statistics Canada showed that 2009 prices were as low as those in early 2001. “As a consequence to the economy recovering, Canadians interested in buying RVs should not delay their purchases,” she said. “There are still good deals to be had out there, but probably not for long.”
The show runs Friday from noon to 10 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Features include a celebrity cook-off, Manitoba Adventure Area and children’s scavenger hunt. For more information, visit Manitoba RV Show.
