Seoul, South Korea – The 2010 Kia Forte has been named “Car of the Year” by U.S. online automotive resource NADAguides.com. The announcement was made at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
The NADAguides editors review vehicles previously chosen as “Car of the Month” to determine an overall winner for the year. The Forte was so named in August for its “attractive styling, value and extensive list of class-leading features,” the online company said.
“Consumers as well as dealers have come to recognize the Kia Motors brand for having attractively-designed and priced vehicles with impressive fuel efficiency and a long list of standard features, all backed by an industry-leading warranty,” said Michael Sprague, vice-president of marketing for Kia Motors America. “The all-new Forte and Forte Koup are no exceptions. Forte is a very strong contender in the popular compact segment and has definitely helped us continue to raise our brand awareness.”
To be eligible for the award, vehicles must be new for the model year and have a combination of impressive styling, fuel efficiency, and low price point and cost of ownership.
