Los Angeles, California – Hyundai has introduced the all-new Azera in a North American debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. It becomes the fifth vehicle to adopt the company’s signature “Fluidic Sculpture” design language and features a more powerful 3.3-litre direct-injection engine, six-speed transmission and best-in-class combined fuel economy.
The Azera is not planned for sale in Canada.
The second-generation Azera produces 293 horsepower and has better combined fuel efficiency than the Nissan Maxima, Ford Taurus, Lexus ES350 or Buick LaCrosse V6, Hyundai said.
Standard features include nine airbags, xenon headlamps with LED accents, navigation system with rearview camera, heated front and rear leather seats, ventilated front seats, manual side window sunshades, Bluetooth and Blue Link telematics platform.
The 2012 Azera is the seventh vehicle in Hyundai’s “24/7 Version 2.0” product initiative of seven new models in 24 months.
