2012 Hyundai Accent
Montreal, Quebec – Hyundai has introduced the all-new 2012 Accent at the Montreal International Auto Show. Available as a sedan or hatchback, the new Accent offers the company’s “Fluidic Sculpture” design, best-in-class fuel economy, and a full complement of standard safety features. Hyundai said it will hold the line on pricing from the prior generation to continue delivering value to customers.
The fourth generation of the Accent is the first vehicle to receive the all-new 1.6-litre “Gamma” direct fuel injection engine, paired with a six-speed automatic or manual transmission and an estimated 4.7 L/100 km highway fuel consumption. The 1.6-litre four-cylinder produces 138 horsepower and 123 lb-ft of torque.
Standard safety features include six airbags, vehicle stability control, traction control, anti-lock brakes with brake assist and brake force distribution, and four-wheel disc brakes.
