Detroit, Michigan – Hyundai has introduced the redesigned 2013 Genesis Coupe at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The new model now sports more aggressive styling, improved interior materials and design, along with significant engine upgrades.
The 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine upgrades to a more precise twin-scroll turbocharger and larger intercooler, increasing power to 274 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. The 3.8-litre V6 receives direct injection technology that adds 42 horsepower to 348 horsepower, and an additional 29 lb-ft of torque to a total of 295 lb-ft. Both engines now use an eight-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode.
Hyundai’s Blue Link telematics platform is also available, providing owners with a variety of infotainment services for their connectivity needs.
Styling changes to the Genesis Coupe include a new front fascia and grille, LED daytime running lights, fog lights, hood with heat extractor cues, new 18- and 19-inch alloy wheel designs, and LED taillights.
