Toronto, Ontario – Hyundai Auto Canada has announced pricing for the all-new 2010 Genesis Coupe, which will start at $24,495 in four-cylinder configuration, and $32,995 with V6. The company made the announcement at the car’s debut at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto.
The new model is Hyundai’s first-ever rear-wheel drive sports car. The company said it is priced well below the starting price of the Mitsubishi Eclipse, Nissan Altima Coupe and Infiniti G37.
“Now is the time to offer smart pricing to Canadian consumers,” said John Vernile, vice-president of sales and marketing. “The Genesis Coupe is a true performance car by nature of its rear-wheel drive powertrains and phenomenal handling characteristics, all at a cost that’s very accessible to consumers.”
The Genesis Coupe will be available with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 210 horsepower, or a V6 producing 306 horsepower. Both are designed to run on regular-grade fuel. Standard features will include 18-inch alloy wheels, electronic stability control, six airbags, and Bluetooth hands-free connectivity. Available features will include HID headlights, proximity key with pushbutton start, Brembo brake package, Torsen-type limited-slip differential, 19-inch alloy wheels, GT-calibrated suspension, and heated leather seats.
