Honda currently holding 237 days worth of supply

Honda has decided to not only stop selling the Insight hybrid car in Europe, it will be ending production of the model entirely. Meant as a cost-saving Prius alternative, the Insight never resonated with customers, and currently Honda is holding on to a 237 day supply of the model.

According to Automotive News, Honda informed dealers late last year the current generation insight would be discontinued this month and to stop taking orders. It’s uncertain if Honda will replace the hybrid-only model. The company currently has a number of hybrid vehicles in its lineup.

The Insight is second last in sales in Honda’s lineup, just ahead of the other hybrid-only H-branded car, the CR-Z sport hybrid.
